Locate the exact programme
The exam portal includes BBA LLB in its Salt Lake list, while institutional law pages also use group and university names. Confirm the actual teaching campus and the legal institution named on the offer. Ask where mooting, library access and practical supervision take place instead of inferring them from a common group address.
The Kolkata 2026 BBA LLB row lists X 60%, XII 60%, IEMCET and a five-year programme. Ask for the full integrated award and current programme approval in addition to marks eligibility. A group engineering approval is not evidence for law. Keep the exact campus and intake attached to the qualification assessment.
Inspect the teaching environment
Inspect the semester structure for legal foundations, legal research, writing, business modules, mooting and supervised practical exposure. Ask how argument, citation and ethical judgement are assessed. Verify the programme-specific professional approval and current award rather than relying on engineering or general university recognition. Do not infer professional eligibility from a brand affiliation.
Verify access through a practical task
Analyse a fictional contract dispute by identifying the facts that matter, the issue to research and the evidence needed before taking a position. Separate a business preference from a legal argument. Use authoritative legal materials for any actual rule and disclose uncertainty. This reading-and-writing exercise is an interest test, not legal advice or a substitute for supervised training.
Plan for ten semesters, not eight. Ask about books, databases, mooting, court visits, internships and travel in addition to tuition. Clarify whether any legal research platform is institutionally provided. A five-year budget should show when each expense arises and which amounts are refundable. Do not assume optional activity grants are automatic.
Read the offer as a record
For the BBA LLB offer, place the full institution name, university, programme title, entry route, batch and teaching address on one sheet. Compare them with the official course listing and fee document. Ask which office resolves discrepancies and keep the written answer. A group admission office may coordinate applications without being the place where every class or practical is held.
Record what the visit establishes
A BBA LLB campus visit can confirm what you observed and the questions staff answered on that date. It cannot establish access for a later batch, an unannounced specialisation or future placements. Record laboratory opening rules, individual assessment and travel between facilities. Use the observations to decide whether the environment supports the learning tasks you actually want to complete.
