IEM Salt Lake campus; one of the campuses covered in these guides

Independent Akash Talks guidance. Official application, admission and fee decisions belong to the institution. How we verify information

Which IEM are you researching?

IEM searches can refer to Salt Lake, New Town or the wider IEM–UEM group. A shared brand does not make their courses, degree documents, travel costs or admission requirements interchangeable.

  • Salt Lake: check the engineering site and the exact campus on your offer.
  • New Town: also search for UEM Kolkata and confirm the programme location.
  • Jaipur: use UEM Jaipur sources for Rajasthan campus details.

Choose your admission route

The central official exam portal describes IEMJEE for B.Tech and IEMCET for its listed non-B.Tech courses. Other counselling routes need a current participating-institute list and seat matrix; an old WBJEE cutoff is not proof of a present seat.

Fees and the next intake

The official displayed B.Tech table totals ₹9,45,000, while the UEM Kolkata page labels its table for the 2026 batch. That is a reference for the displayed cycle, not a 2027 offer. Obtain the campus-specific fee letter before paying. No verified 2027 calendar is asserted here.

A practical shortlist

Questions and answers

Are IEM and UEM the same college?

They are related names in the group, but you must verify the campus, programme and degree-awarding institution on the offer. Salt Lake, New Town and Jaipur should not be treated as interchangeable.
