The Kolkata 2026 BBA/BCA row shows X 60%, XII 60%, a two-year gap provision and four years. For BCA it also names mathematics, business mathematics, computer application or computer science as a required XII option. Copy your actual subject name from the marksheet and ask whether it satisfies the condition; do not treat a similar informal subject label as confirmation.

Match your academic evidence

Create a BCA evidence sheet with the qualification name, board or university, examination year, subject-wise marks and the exact programme requested. Keep original marksheets separate from any self-calculated aggregate. If the form uses a different subject abbreviation, preserve both wordings and ask for a written mapping. A verbal assurance is not the same as an eligibility decision.

Identify preparation gaps

BCA is an undergraduate computer-applications decision with its own entry subjects and degree structure. Test your interest in building and explaining working software while developing mathematical foundations. Compare the actual award and duration with alternatives. An older three-year description and a newer four-year offer cannot be assumed to represent the same joining arrangement.

Inspect programming, databases, web or application development, operating systems, networks and project assessment in the current scheme. Ask where mathematics and software-design principles are taught. Check the structure of any honours, research or exit option directly with the university. Do not infer award conditions from a generic four-year label.

Resolve the outstanding condition

The central exam portal includes BCA under its Salt Lake programme list and also lists a Jaipur BCA option. Confirm the offered campus, university, duration and award structure. A shared BCA title does not establish that a Kolkata four-year fee table governs Jaipur or every group location.

Before accepting the BCA offer, record each unresolved condition as a specific question with the supporting document. Separate marks eligibility, accepted entrance route and final document verification. Save the dated official response with your application record. This produces a usable checklist even when an institutional page contains an older or conflicting block.
