Independent Akash Talks guidance. Official application, admission and fee decisions belong to the institution. How we verify information
Reconcile the displayed tuition
The Kolkata 2026 displayed CSE with IoT, Cyber Security and Blockchain schedule is ₹140,000 in semester one and ₹115,000 in each of the remaining 7 semesters, totalling ₹9,45,000. This is a dated programme reference, not an all-inclusive quotation or a confirmed later-intake offer. Match the exact award and campus before using the figures in a personal budget.
Build the course-specific expense list
Clarify costs for hardware kits, isolated labs and any external ledger or cloud service. Ask whether a project can be completed with institutional resources and whether certificates are compulsory. Keep optional infrastructure experiments bounded and reproducible. Record which items are deposits, consumables or subscriptions so the total budget does not hide recurring expenses.
Map payments to the household calendar
For CSE with IoT, Cyber Security and Blockchain, list each of the 8 semester due dates in a separate row and enter the written tuition amount beside it. Add accommodation, food and transport as separate recurring categories. Keep booking payments in their own column until the institution confirms whether they reduce the tuition balance. A deposit must not be counted twice or assumed refundable without its terms.
Test what the expenditure buys
Inspect how embedded systems, networks, security and distributed-ledger topics fit around algorithms, operating systems and databases. Ask which modules are compulsory and how prerequisites are sequenced. Look for assessment that explains when a ledger is unnecessary as well as when it helps. Compare complete project requirements rather than counting specialisation keywords.
Design a device-data audit trail and compare a conventional signed database log with a distributed-ledger design. State who can write records, who validates them and what happens when a device lies about a measurement. Simulate connectivity loss and key replacement. Explain whether decentralisation solves a real requirement or merely adds complexity.
Compare a conservative funding case
Recalculate the CSE with IoT, Cyber Security and Blockchain plan without an unconfirmed scholarship, internship stipend or hoped-for placement income. Mark equipment and travel expenses as mandatory or elective using written information. Ask for the withdrawal and refund schedule before paying. Keep the source year beside ₹9,45,000; a different campus, award or joining batch needs its own quotation.
The current engineering listing places the combined IoT, Cyber Security and Blockchain option at New Town. Ask which department coordinates the different laboratory components and where project supervision occurs. Availability of a plain IoT or security programme elsewhere does not prove this exact combined award is offered there.
