Independent Akash Talks guidance. Official application, admission and fee decisions belong to the institution. How we verify information
Identify the role you are investigating
Ask whether graduates pursued embedded, security, distributed-systems or general computing roles. Inspect exact job descriptions and degree eligibility for each. A course spanning several fields does not establish guaranteed access to all of them. Request examples of supervised internships where the student explained both system behaviour and the security assumptions.
Ask for the work behind the internship
Design a device-data audit trail and compare a conventional signed database log with a distributed-ledger design. State who can write records, who validates them and what happens when a device lies about a measurement. Simulate connectivity loss and key replacement. Explain whether decentralisation solves a real requirement or merely adds complexity.
An immutable record can preserve an incorrect sensor reading permanently. Trace where data becomes trusted and which failures cryptography cannot repair. Compare authenticity, availability and measurement accuracy as separate properties. This exercise helps assess whether you enjoy analysing system boundaries rather than treating blockchain as a universal security feature.
Use a comparable cohort
For CSE with IoT, Cyber Security and Blockchain, request the actual programme, graduating year, number seeking work, students placed and students continuing to study. Keep multiple offers separate from unique students. Ask whether internship data describe applications, selections, starts or completed work. A placement percentage without its denominator cannot be compared fairly with another course, campus or year.
Check the skills and practical access
Inspect how embedded systems, networks, security and distributed-ledger topics fit around algorithms, operating systems and databases. Ask which modules are compulsory and how prerequisites are sequenced. Look for assessment that explains when a ledger is unnecessary as well as when it helps. Compare complete project requirements rather than counting specialisation keywords.
The current engineering listing places the combined IoT, Cyber Security and Blockchain option at New Town. Ask which department coordinates the different laboratory components and where project supervision occurs. Availability of a plain IoT or security programme elsewhere does not prove this exact combined award is offered there.
Separate evidence from a promise
The IEM NIRF 2026 engineering submission is institution-level historical evidence, not a guarantee for CSE with IoT, Cyber Security and Blockchain. Do not replace a missing course-level record with the highest package or a group recruiter list. Keep offer evidence, joining outcomes and salary definitions distinct, and use your own project work to identify what preparation a desired role would still require.
