IEMCET MCA and JECA: check campus-specific routes

Two different source statements

The Kolkata fee/eligibility table lists IEMCET for MCA. Separately, WBJEEB’s JECA 2026 bulletin includes IEM Salt Lake in Appendix 10 under Module 6. These statements must be interpreted for the particular campus and intake.

Preparation is not seat allotment

The IEMCET university page points MCA candidates toward WB JECA-style preparation. Studying that material does not automatically register you for JECA or complete either admission process.

Check the qualifying degree

Read the required graduation subjects, marks and module conditions. A general postgraduate minimum is not enough to establish eligibility for a particular counselling module.

Next-cycle action

Obtain the current notice, institution list and seat matrix. Keep the Salt Lake route separate from an offer using UEM Kolkata/New Town wording, and verify the campus before paying.

Official sources and verification

Sources checked on 26 October 2026. A source’s date, programme and campus limit which claims it supports. Official pages may change after review.

1. UEM Kolkata — IEMCET 2026 syllabus and instructions

Historical course-specific preparation guidance. Some introductory route text conflicts with the central portal.

2. UEM Kolkata — admissions and 2026 fee table

Explicit 2026 batch fee and eligibility table. Lower undated blocks can conflict.

3. WBJEEB — JECA 2026 information bulletin

2026 MCA syllabus and institution modules; Appendix 10 includes IEM Salt Lake. Historical, not a 2027 seat guarantee.
