One exam name, several programme contexts
The central portal assigns multiple non-B.Tech programmes to IEMCET. That does not establish that BBA, MCA and M.Tech applicants all take identical sections, duration or marking.
What the historical guidance says
The university page gives English, general knowledge and preliminary mathematics for BBA/BCA, GATE guidance for M.Tech, WB JECA guidance for MCA and CAT guidance for MBA. These are preparation references, not a complete programme-by-programme format table.
Resolve contradictions before the test
The university page contains a B.Tech introduction and a conflicting M.Tech/IEMJEE sentence. Prefer the central portal for the general route and ask official support for your actual course’s paper instructions.
Build a paper checklist
Confirm mode, subjects, question count, duration, marks, negative marking, allowed materials and reporting requirements. Save the written instructions associated with your application.
