Independent Akash Talks guidance. Official application, admission and fee decisions belong to the institution. How we verify information
Brand and legal identity differ
IEM and UEM are related names in the group. The Jaipur university describes its engineering/management school as IEM Jaipur, while the Kolkata context includes IEM Salt Lake and New Town naming.
Current and historical affiliation
The current IEM engineering site refers to UEM Kolkata affiliation. Older MAKAUT references can apply to historical cohorts. Verify the programme and admission batch rather than choosing whichever statement appears most often online.
What your documents should state
Ask for the legal institution, awarding university, programme title, teaching campus and joining year. Use the same identifiers on fee and recognition checks.
Avoid cross-campus assumptions
A placement report, scholarship or fee notice from one institution does not automatically apply to every school carrying a related name. Keep each evidence record attached to its owner.
Official sources and verification
