Independent Akash Talks guidance. Official application, admission and fee decisions belong to the institution. How we verify information
What you are choosing
Postgraduate computer applications. This guide helps you inspect a specific course offer; it does not imply that every IEM or UEM campus teaches this programme.
Curriculum questions
Check undergraduate subject prerequisites, current entrance route, programme duration and software project requirements. Ask how bridging subjects are handled if your prior degree differs.
Salt Lake JECA evidence differs from a group route
WBJEEB’s JECA 2026 bulletin includes IEM Salt Lake in its institution list under Module 6. The Kolkata admission table also lists IEMCET for MCA. Check the current campus, route, qualifying degree and allotted seats rather than treating these as interchangeable pathways.
Important comparison
MCA eligibility is not the same as BCA school-level eligibility. Use the current postgraduate row and official notice for your qualification.
Admission and cost checks
Use the current programme-specific eligibility row, entrance route and official campus listing. Request the semester fee schedule, living costs and any course-specific equipment or training charges. A future batch needs its own written offer.
Take this to counselling
Bring your marksheets, prior qualification if relevant, score and a shortlist of alternatives to MCA. Ask for the exact degree name, campus, joining year and curriculum document before deciding.
Kolkata 2026 table: a dated reference
This row comes from the UEM Kolkata 2026 batch table, not a universal offer at all campuses or for 2027. X/XII means Class 10/Class 12. Confirm the exact programme, subjects and current eligibility in writing.
| Field | Displayed 2026 reference |
|---|---|
| X / XII / other minimum | 60% / 60% / graduation 60%; qualifying degree conditions apply |
| Listed route | IEMCET in admission table; campus-specific JECA route also needs checking |
| Displayed programme total | ₹3,00,000 |
