IEM and UEM scholarships: eligibility and renewal checklist

Find the current policy

Use the university or institution’s official scholarship notice. Confirm whether it applies to your campus, course, joining batch and admission route.

Check how the award is calculated

Ask whether the scholarship covers tuition only or additional fees, whether it is credited upfront or reimbursed, and whether multiple awards can be combined.

Read the renewal conditions

Record any minimum grades, attendance, conduct, backlog restrictions and application deadlines. A first-year award may not automatically continue for every semester.

Budget for the unfunded case

Compare total cost with and without renewal. Do not treat a scholarship discussed verbally or copied from another year as a confirmed reduction in your fee letter.
