A dated institutional reference
The IEM NIRF 2026 engineering submission reports 907 students graduating in the UG four-year cohort for academic year 2024–25, 787 placed, 102 selected for higher studies and a ₹6,00,000 median salary among placed graduates.
| 2024–25 UG four-year metric | Reported figure |
|---|---|
| Graduated in minimum stipulated time | 907 |
| Students placed | 787 |
| Median salary among placed graduates | ₹6,00,000 per year |
| Selected for higher studies | 102 |
What a median tells you
The median is the middle of the reported salaries for placed graduates. It is different from the highest package and does not promise that a new student or a particular branch will receive that amount.
Keep the denominator visible
Placed students divided by this reported graduating cohort is about 86.8%. That is a calculation from this table, not an official eligibility-adjusted placement rate. Do not mix students, offers and eligible applicants in a single percentage.
Questions for the placement office
Ask for the campus, graduating year, branch, number of eligible students, number placed, salary distribution and treatment of multiple offers. Separate internships from full-time employment and domestic salaries from overseas packages.
