Independent Akash Talks guidance. Official application, admission and fee decisions belong to the institution. How we verify information
Identify the exact entity
Start with the legal institution and university names on the proposed offer. Campus nicknames and group branding are not enough for a regulator search.
Check university status
Use the UGC’s official records for the university and location. Match current status rather than accepting a cropped screenshot without date or context.
Check programme requirements
Consult the relevant regulator for the programme where applicable. Institutional recognition, programme approval, accreditation and ranking are distinct claims.
Resolve inconsistent records
Ask the university for current documents covering your programme and batch when the website and older certificates differ. Keep the reply in your admission file.
Official sources and verification
Sources checked on 26 October 2026. A source’s date, programme and campus limit which claims it supports. Official pages may change after review.
- University Grants Commission — official website
University recognition checks; recognition is distinct from programme-specific approval.
- AICTE — official website
Programme and institution approval verification, where applicable.
- IEM — engineering programmes and campus information
Current engineering programme listings, campus allocation and affiliation wording.
